Privacy notice

Softforge Digital LTD, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom, is the controller of personal data processed through toptool.io. Contact: hello@toptool.io.

What we collect and why

• Account: your email address and sign-in sessions (IP address and browser), to let you sign in and manage listings. Basis: performing our service for you.
• Listings: what you submit, its review history, and ownership checks of your website. Basis: performing our service; our legitimate interest in an accurate directory.
• Emails we send: only messages about your account and listings (sign-in links, review decisions). We do not send newsletters or marketing, and submitting a tool never signs you up for any.
• Visitor statistics: daily counts of listing views and outbound clicks, grouped by referrer type. We do not use cookies or tracking pixels for this and do not store IP addresses with the counts.

Free tools and advertising

The free tools under /free-tools show Google AdSense ads, which may use cookies subject to the consent choices shown on those pages. The directory pages carry no ads.

Processors

We use service providers to run TopTool: hosting (Vercel, Hetzner), storage and content delivery (Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend) and an AI model provider (Anthropic) that helps our editors pre-screen submitted listings. They process data only on our instructions.

Retention and your rights

We keep account data while your account exists, and review and audit records for as long as the listing exists plus a reasonable period for disputes. You can ask for access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, object to processing, or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
