About Apple Music
Apple Music is Apple's music streaming subscription, which Apple says has over 100 million songs. It is ad-free, supports offline downloads, lossless audio and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, and includes AutoMix transitions, real-time lyrics, Apple Music Sing (karaoke-style vocals adjustment), collaborative playlists, live radio shows and Concerts Near You. A subscription also unlocks the separate Apple Music Classical app. It works on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod, Vision Pro and CarPlay, plus Android (Google Play), Windows (Microsoft Store), Sonos and some smart TVs. It is also bundled in Apple One.
Good for
People in the Apple ecosystem who want lossless and Spatial Audio, synced lyrics and the bundled Classical app, with Apple One bundling as an option.
Watch out for
There is no free on-demand tier; only Apple Music Radio is free. Some features (Music Haptics, iPhone-as-microphone for Sing) are specific to Apple hardware.
