About Foxit PDF Editor

Foxit PDF Editor is a commercial PDF application for creating, editing, converting, signing and managing PDFs on Windows, macOS and the web, with mobile apps on the Editor+ plan. The base plan covers editing, conversion, OCR, forms and document security; Editor+ adds iOS and Android apps, Foxit eSign Essentials and AI-based Smart Redact for automatic removal of personal data. Subscriptions include Foxit's document management cloud storage and a monthly allowance of AI credits for the AI Assistant, which summarises, translates, searches and chats with PDFs. Foxit also sells a perpetual licence, a free PDF Reader, and SDKs and cloud APIs for developers.

Good for

Organisations that want a full desktop PDF editor with OCR, forms and redaction, a choice between subscription and a one-time perpetual licence, and volume licensing.

Watch out for

Mobile apps, eSign and Smart Redact are on the Editor+ plan, not the base Editor plan. Included AI credits are 300 per month; heavier AI use needs the paid AI Assistant add-on.

As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Foxit PDF Editor at $129.99 per user per year, Editor+ at $159.99 per user per year, monthly billing from $10.99, and a perpetual Foxit PDF Editor 14 licence at $209.99 one-time. The AI Assistant add-on is $49.99/year for 2,000 AI credits a month. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial without a card.
