About BandLab

BandLab is an online music creation platform from BandLab Technologies. Its Studio runs in the browser and in iOS and Android apps, offering multitrack recording with effects, a royalty-free sounds library, SongStarter, Splitter for stem separation, mastering presets and real-time collaboration with up to 50 people per project and free cloud storage. The platform also includes a creator community, distribution to streaming services and promotional tools. A paid Membership adds tools such as Voice Cleaner, Voice Changer, AutoMix, Audio-to-MIDI, extra mastering presets and a higher track limit, and includes access to Cakewalk Next and Cakewalk Sonar, BandLab's desktop DAWs for Windows and macOS.

Watch out for

Several AI-assisted tools are Membership perks, and the free Studio has a lower track limit. Cakewalk Next and Sonar are separate desktop apps with their own system requirements. App Store and Play Store subscriptions must be cancelled through those stores.

As of October 2026 the membership page does not show the standard price in the text read; it advertises 40% off the first year for eligible students ($59.40, or $4.95/month), implying about $99/year. Studio and the community are free.
