About Docusign eSignature

Docusign eSignature is a cloud service for sending documents for signature, signing them and tracking their status with an audit trail. It provides reusable templates, AI-assisted field detection and agreement summaries, signing in 44+ languages, mobile signing, web forms, payment collection during signing, and optional SMS delivery and identity verification. It connects to 1,000+ apps including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and SAP, and offers APIs for developers. Docusign also sells broader Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) plans.

Businesses that send contracts and forms for signature regularly and want templates, audit trails and integrations with CRM and office tools.

Watch out for

Plans cap envelopes: Personal sends 5 a month, Standard and Business Pro 100 per user per year. Annual plans billed monthly require paying the remaining balance if cancelled after 30 days. SMS delivery and identity verification are paid add-ons.
