About NordVPN
NordVPN is a commercial VPN service that encrypts internet traffic and routes it through its servers. Apps are available for Windows, macOS, Linux (graphical and command-line), iOS and Android, with proxy browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Features include a kill switch, DNS leak protection, the NordLynx (WireGuard-based), NordWhisper, OpenVPN and IKEv2 protocols, Double VPN and Onion Over VPN servers, obfuscated servers, Meshnet for private device-to-device networks, real-time malware and website blocking, dark web monitoring and an optional dedicated IP. One subscription covers up to 10 devices.
Good for
People who want a mainstream VPN with apps on every major platform, up to 10 devices on one plan, and extras such as Meshnet and malware blocking.
Watch out for
Long plans must be paid upfront and auto-renew at the renewal price. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers only the first purchase, and App Store purchases must be refunded through Apple. The no-logs policy is the company's own statement; the support article read does not link an audit.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the support center says NordVPN sells 1-month, 1-year and 2-year plans, with 1- and 2-year plans paid in full at purchase, and a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. A 7-day free trial is offered in some countries on 1- and 2-year plans. Plan prices could not be read because nordvpn.com blocked automated requests.
