About Odoo
Odoo is a suite of integrated business apps that share one database: accounting, invoicing and expenses, CRM, sales, subscriptions and point of sale, eCommerce and website builder, inventory, manufacturing and purchasing, HR and payroll, project, timesheets, helpdesk and marketing tools, among others. Companies install only the apps they need, and Odoo Studio and AI features help tailor it. It comes in two editions: Community, which is open source and free, and Enterprise, which adds apps, hosting and services. It can run on Odoo Online, on Odoo.sh or on your own servers, and stores data in PostgreSQL. A community app store lists more than 40,000 modules.
Good for
Small and mid-size companies that want accounting, sales, inventory and operations in one system, with the option to self-host or customise the code.
Watch out for
Implementation and custom development are not included in the plans and often need a partner. Odoo.sh hosting for custom modules costs extra. The intro discount applies for 12 months only.
