About Streamlabs
Streamlabs makes Streamlabs Desktop, a live streaming and recording app for Windows and Mac, alongside mobile, console (Xbox) and browser-based Talk Studio tools. Desktop captures webcam, games, screen, music and microphone, lets you build scenes, and has built-in stream widgets such as alerts, chat box and polls, themes and overlays, Cloudbot for chat moderation, Collab Cam for adding guests, Dual Output for streaming horizontal and vertical layouts at once, automations, and tipping and merch tools for earning from streams. It works with Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, X and others. A Streamlabs plugin for OBS Studio is also offered. The Ultra subscription adds multistreaming, premium themes, apps and more.
Good for
New and growing streamers who want alerts, overlays, chat tools and tipping set up in one app without assembling OBS plug-ins themselves.
Watch out for
Many extras are limited on the free plan: themes and apps are partly locked, multistreaming is one portrait plus one landscape platform, and Cross Clip, Podcast Editor and Video Editor exports carry watermarks or caps until you pay for Ultra.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the Ultra page shows Ultra 'starting at $15.75/mo' (billing period not stated, likely annual), with an Ultra Plus tier whose price was not shown. First-period discount codes are advertised.
