About Ahrefs

Ahrefs is a web-based SEO platform built around its own web crawler and index. Main tools include Site Explorer for backlink and organic traffic analysis, Keywords Explorer, Site Audit with always-on auditing, Rank Tracker, competitive analysis and Brand Radar, which tracks brand mentions across AI assistant prompts. Paid plans include API and MCP access, and add-ons cover AI content tools, a report builder and advanced project features. The free Ahrefs plan gives website owners limited access to Site Explorer and Site Audit for their own verified sites.

Watch out for

Ahrefs states it does not run discounts or free trials and generally does not issue refunds. Usage beyond plan limits is billed automatically, and extra users cost $40-$100 per month each depending on plan.

Pricing notes

As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Starter at $29/month, Lite $129/month, Standard $249/month, Advanced $449/month and Enterprise $1,499/month (annual commitment), with up to 17% off when paid annually. Ahrefs Free is $0 with limited access. Brand Radar AI starts at $199/month and other add-ons are extra.
