About Black Forest Labs (FLUX)

Black Forest Labs builds the FLUX model family, including FLUX 3 Image, Image Klein, Video and Max, plus FLUX.2 variants and tools for outpainting, erasing and virtual try-on. Developers use the hosted API, which charges per generated image, or license the open weights to run and fine-tune models on their own infrastructure. A no-code browser playground is available for testing prompts. The company lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification and sells enterprise and synthetic-data licenses.

Watch out for

This is a model provider, not a finished creative app: the playground is for experimenting, and most use is via API or self-hosting. Self-hosted commercial use needs a paid weights license; a non-commercial license is offered separately. Many other tools in this directory already include FLUX models.

Pricing notes

As of October 2026 the pricing page describes pay-as-you-go API billing with no subscription or seat fees, priced per image by model and resolution (the calculator's default showed $0.048 per image). Self-hosting licenses are tiered (Builder, Platform, Professional, Enterprise) with monthly image caps.
