About Codecademy
Codecademy teaches programming and tech skills through interactive in-browser lessons. The catalogue covers Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, Java, C++, C#, Go, SQL, data science, machine learning, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps and more, organised into standalone courses, skill paths, career paths (for roles such as data scientist) and certification-prep paths for AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA and ISC2. An AI Builder lets learners build working prototypes by describing them, with explanations of each step, using monthly credits. Pro adds interview prep, a mock interview simulator and a job-readiness checker. There are also live bootcamps, workshops and team plans.

Beginners learning to code by doing, and career changers who want a structured path toward a developer, data or IT role.
Watch out for
The free Basic plan only has limited courses, with no skill paths, career paths or certificates of completion. Career and certification paths and interview tools are Pro only.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Basic free, Plus $11.99/month billed annually or $14.99 monthly, and Pro $15.99/month billed annually or $19.99 monthly; annual plans include one live workshop. Team plans are by quote.
