About Hoppscotch
Hoppscotch is an open-source API client and development platform from Hoppscotch Limited. It tests REST and GraphQL APIs and realtime protocols such as WebSocket, Socket.IO, MQTT and Server-Sent Events, with collections and folders, environment variables, request history, pre-request scripts, post-request tests, code snippet generation and one-click import from Postman, Insomnia or cURL. Teams can use shared workspaces with real-time collaboration, access roles, audit logs and SSO. It runs in the browser, as desktop apps for Mac, Windows and Linux, and as a CLI, and can be used on Hoppscotch's cloud or self-hosted on your own servers. The code is MIT licensed.
Good for
Developers who want a free, lightweight API client that opens instantly in the browser, and teams that want to self-host their API tooling.
Watch out for
Team workspaces, API documentation publishing, mocking and MCP support are on paid cloud plans, and SSO, SCIM and AI agent features need Enterprise. Self-hosted pricing is shown separately from cloud.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the cloud pricing lists Free at $0 forever, Business at $6 per user/month billed annually and Enterprise at $11 per user/month billed annually. Monthly billing and self-host plans are also offered.
