About Ideogram
Ideogram is a generative media platform built around its own image models (Ideogram 3.0, 4.0 and 4.5), which are known for rendering legible text in posters, logos and layouts. The web workspace covers prompt-to-image generation, character consistency, and small task apps such as an ad resizer, background remover, object remover, colorways and material swap. Third-party image and video models are also available. Developers can call one API for image and video models, connect agents through an MCP server, and, per the site, run Ideogram 4.0 weights locally under its license. There is also an iPhone app.
Good for
Marketers and designers who need images with readable text, such as posters, social graphics, packaging mockups and ad variations.
Watch out for
Images are published to the community gallery by default; only Plus and Pro subscribers can generate unpublished images. The FAQ says there are no free trials or discounts on subscriptions; free accounts get weekly credits that may vary. Ideogram 4.0 weights are under a specific license, not necessarily open source.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Plus at $20/month ($180/year), Pro $60/month ($504/year) and Team $30 per user/month ($240/year), plus Enterprise. Paid plans include unlimited slow credits and a monthly pool of priority credits. Pay-as-you-go credits are 1 cent each.
