About Loom
Loom, owned by Atlassian, records your screen and camera through a desktop app for Mac and Windows, a Chrome extension or mobile apps, and produces a shareable link as soon as recording stops. Viewers can react with emoji, comment and add tasks, and videos get transcripts and captions in more than 50 languages. A built-in editor trims and stitches clips and adds overlays. Videos embed in tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Notion and GitHub. Paid plans add unlimited recording, 4K, branding removal and engagement insights, and the Business + AI plan adds automatic video enhancement, meeting notes and recaps, and converting videos into documents. Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM and a Salesforce integration.
Good for
Remote teams, sales, support and engineering staff who explain things over short recorded videos instead of meetings or long written updates.
Watch out for
The free Starter plan is limited to 25 videos per person, 5-minute recordings and 720p. Annual billing on Atlassian.com uses user tiers, which differs from Loom.com's per-user billing, per the pricing FAQ.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Starter free, Business US$18 and Business + AI US$24 per user per month, and Enterprise by quote. A toggle offers monthly or annual billing (up to 17% saving); which billing the shown prices reflect was unclear.
