About MangaMade
MangaMade is a web, iOS and Android studio that turns a story into comic chapters. The workflow runs in five steps: story, cast, panels, lettering and export. It drafts an editable chapter script, keeps characters consistent through model sheets with turnarounds and expressions, and draws panels without text; dialogue, captions and sound effects sit on a separate lettering layer that can be edited or translated into 30+ languages, including right-to-left scripts, without redrawing. Single panels can be regenerated. There are ten style presets. Pages export as PNG, PDF, CBZ or a vertical webtoon strip, and chapters can be shared as read-only links. Paid plans include a REST API and an MCP server.
Good for
Writers who already have a story and want finished, readable chapters rather than single images; series that need the same characters across many pages; creators who publish in several languages, since lettering is separate from the artwork.
Watch out for
Chinese and Korean lettering are listed as not available yet. Free-trial exports carry a watermark and the trial has no API access. The art is AI-generated, so check the platform rules of wherever you plan to publish.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the pricing page lists 15 free credits valid for 30 days, then Hobby $19/month (200 credits), Creator $49/month (600) and Studio $149/month (2,000), plus 100-credit top-ups for $10. One credit is one 1K panel; planning, lettering, translation and exports do not use credits.
