About Microsoft To Do
Microsoft To Do is a task list app from Microsoft. Users plan the day in My Day and create any number of lists, for example for work, groceries or travel. Each task can have due dates, reminders, a star for importance, steps to break it into smaller parts and notes. Lists can be shared with others. Tasks are stored on Exchange Online, so they also appear in Outlook Tasks, and To Do is built into Outlook, where tasks can be dragged onto the calendar. Sync between devices happens when you sign in with the same Microsoft account. Apps are offered for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android.
Good for
People already using Outlook or Microsoft 365 who want a simple personal task list that shows up alongside their email and calendar.
Watch out for
A Microsoft account is required to sync. Features are basic compared with dedicated task managers, with no project views such as boards or timelines mentioned in the help pages.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the Microsoft Store page lists it as a free download; no paid tier for To Do was found on the pages read.
