About Recraft

Recraft is an image generation platform built around design work. Recraft Studio generates and edits raster images, editable vector graphics and mockups using Recraft's own models (V2 through V4.1) as well as third-party models, and lets users upload reference images to create a reusable custom style so a set of assets stays visually consistent. It also handles typography in generations. Editing tools exposed via the API include background removal, inpainting, outpainting and batch jobs. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps and a developer API billed in API units.

Good for

Designers who need AI output as editable vectors (icons, illustrations, logo concepts) or a consistent illustration style across many assets, and developers wiring vector generation into a product through the API.

Watch out for

Per the pricing FAQ, images made on the Free plan are owned by Recraft, shown publicly in the community gallery and not licensed for commercial use. Subscription credits do not roll over, and API units are bought separately from subscription credits.

Pricing page lists Free plus paid Basic, Pro and Teams plans with monthly or annual billing (annual saves 20%) and non-expiring top-up credits; plan prices are rendered by script and were not visible in the page source. Paid plans grant ownership and commercial rights. API usage is prepaid in API units.
