About Things 3

Things is a personal task manager from Cultured Code for Apple devices. To-dos are organised into projects, with a Today list (including a separate This Evening section), an Upcoming list that shows scheduled and repeating to-dos alongside calendar events, and headings and checklists for breaking down larger projects. A draggable Magic Plus button inserts to-dos or headings where you need them, and Quick Find searches projects, to-dos and tags as you type. Calendar events can be shown next to to-dos, and on the Mac a feature called Type Travel lets you jump anywhere by typing. Separate apps are sold for Mac, iPhone and Apple Watch, iPad and Vision Pro.

Apple users who want a focused, single-person task manager they buy once rather than subscribe to.

Watch out for

Things is only for Apple platforms, with no Windows, Android or web app, and it is built as a personal task manager rather than a team tool. Each platform is a separate purchase.

Pricing notes

As of October 2026 the site lists US prices of $49.99 for Mac, $9.99 for iPhone and Watch, $19.99 for iPad and $29.99 for Vision Pro, each a one-time purchase. Requirements are macOS 13.3 or later and iOS/iPadOS 16.4 or later.
