About Kit (formerly ConvertKit)
Kit, formerly ConvertKit, is an email marketing platform aimed at creators such as writers, podcasters, YouTubers and course sellers. It provides landing pages and forms, email broadcasts, tagging and segmentation, visual automations and email sequences, and tools for selling digital products, paid newsletters and subscriptions. Paid plans add A/B testing, subscriber polls, RSS campaigns, SMS marketing, app integrations and an MCP connector, while Pro adds engagement scoring, deliverability reporting, a newsletter referral system, Facebook custom audiences and unlimited users. Kit also runs a recommendations network where creators promote each other's newsletters.
Good for
Independent creators who sell digital products or paid newsletters and want simple tagging, sequences and landing pages without a full marketing suite.
Watch out for
Automations, sequences and removal of Kit branding require a paid plan. Pricing scales with subscriber count, and the Pro discount shown applies only to the first year.
Pricing notes
As of October 2026 the pricing page lists Free (up to 10,000 subscribers), Creator at $33/month for 1,000 subscribers ($390 billed yearly) and Pro at $66/month, shown with a limited-time first-year offer of $50/month ($593 billed yearly). Yearly billing saves about 17%; monthly-billed prices were not clearly shown. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial.
